Congratulations to Barney Stewart, who has been named William Hill Premiership Player of the Month for the month of March!
Since making his Premiership debut for the Bairns in January, Barney has established himself as one of the most exciting young players in the league, returning eight goals in 12 Premiership appearances. In March he scored in every game, and scored a crucial goal in last weekend’s win in Motherwell to help secure top six status.
Barney said on receiving his award: “It’s surreal, to be honest. There are so many top players in this league, so for me to win Premiership Player of the Month is something I hadn’t even thought about, it’s something I can’t really put into words.
“I would like to thank John McGlynn, the coaching staff at Falkirk, my teammates, and the Falkirk fans for all the support and belief they have given me since joining the club.”
Congratulations, Barney!
