Falkirk Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Ben Krauhaus from English Premier League side Brentford FC on a season long loan deal, subject to international clearance and Scottish FA approval.
A technically gifted, left-footed midfielder, the 21-year-old arrives at The Falkirk Stadium with significant senior experience despite his young age.
Ben began his career in the Charlton Athletic Academy before joining Bromley, progressing through the club’s youth system and making his senior debut in December 2021.
Following loan spells with Walton & Hersham and Cray Wanderers, he established himself as a regular in the Bromley first team during the 2023/24 season. Ben made 51 appearances and scored eight goals across all competitions as the club secured promotion to the English Football League for the first time in its history.
His performances earned him Bromley’s Young Player of the Year award and a move to Brentford in January 2024, with the midfielder initially returning to Hayes Lane on loan for the remainder of the campaign.
After spending the 2024/25 season with Brentford B, Ben returned to Bromley on a season-long loan last summer. He featured 40 times across all competitions as the Ravens won the League Two title and secured a second promotion in three seasons.
Ben is available for selection ahead of tomorrow night’s Premier Sports Cup match against Ayr United, subject to international clearance and Scottish FA approval.
Manager John McGlynn said:
“Ben Krauhaus is an attacking midfielder who was brought to our attention by Brentford. They put the player to Alan Fraser, we had a look at him and really liked what we saw.
“He is only 21 but already has nearly 100 appearances in senior football, which is an excellent amount of experience for someone so young, particularly in England where players do not always get their breakthrough as quickly.
“Ben was playing for Bromley when Brentford signed him and last season he was a big part of the squad that won promotion to League One. He therefore comes to us with a lot of experience, having already played in some big games, and that can only help us.
“This is a good platform for Ben to take the next step in his career and I am sure he will do an excellent job for us in the season ahead.”
Welcome to Falkirk, Ben!
