CLUB TO EXPAND SUPPORTER LIAISON TEAM

As part of our ongoing commitment to supporter engagement, we are delighted to announce a significant expansion of our Supporter Liaison Officer team. The team will now consist of six SLOs, increasing our capacity to listen to supporters, respond to enquiries, and continue improving the supporter experience across all areas of the club.

Supporter Liaison Officers act as a link between supporters and the club, providing a direct channel for communication, feedback, and assistance. Their role is to ensure supporter views are heard, help resolve issues, and work with the club to continually improve the matchday and supporter experience.

Kevin Beattie, a familiar and trusted presence among Falkirk supporters, has led the club’s supporter liaison work for several years. Through his dedication and commitment, Kevin has helped strengthen communication between supporters and the club, laying the foundations for the high levels of supporter satisfaction and trust reflected in recent Bairns Survey results.

As a fan-owned club, it is essential that we always look to improve our supporter engagement wherever we can. With this in mind, we have recruited an additional five Supporter Liaison Officers to work with Kevin to build on the great work he has already achieved.

As attendances and demands on the SLO role continue to grow, we believe that a bigger team will improve our capacity to manage supporter issues. Our new team will:

  • Provide visible support on home and away matchdays
  • Assist supporters with enquiries and concerns
  • Gather supporter feedback and represent supporter views within the club
  • Support fan engagement initiatives and events
  • Work on their own specific supporter engagement projects

At home matchdays, supporters can contact our SLO team by phoning or messaging 07842015575 from the opening of turnstiles. Supporters can also reach out to the team anytime by emailing slo@falkirkfc.co.uk

We would like to thank the Falkirk Supporters Society for their support in recruiting our new additional SLOs.

Joining Kevin on our SLO Team are the following supporters:

Scott Spowage

“I’m really proud to be joining the SLO team. As a life long Bairn of 50 years, this is much more than simply taking on a voluntary role – it’s an opportunity to give something back to the club and community that means a great deal to me.

“As an IT consultant and charity founder, I’m naturally someone who enjoys talking to people, listening, solving problems and trying to make things better, and I’m looking forward to bringing those qualities to the role. Most of all, I want supporters to feel they can come up and have a chat, share an idea, raise a concern or simply say hello.

“Falkirk is our Club, and I’m looking forward to playing my small part in making sure the voice of the supporters is heard.”

Jamie Marr

“I’ve been a Falkirk supporter all my life, first watching the Bairns at Brockville with my dad and now holding a season ticket in the Kevin McAllister Stand. I attend most away matches, travelling with friends and fellow supporters on supporters’ coaches.

“Away from football, I have a background in IT, customer service, and event environments. I’m looking forward to bringing those experiences to the role and, most importantly, being a voice for supporters and a point of contact between the club and our fantastic fanbase.

“I look forward to meeting more of you throughout the season, hearing your views and helping ensure that supporters remain at the heart of Falkirk FC.”

Evonne Johnstone

“As a Falkirk fan and season ticket holder I have experienced the highs and the lows with you all. I hope to be part of a team that can make everyone’s match day experience a positive and enjoyable one.

“Looking forward to meeting new and old faces around the club.”

Matthew Robertson

“I’m a lifelong Falkirk supporter and season ticket holder, and I’m delighted to be joining the club’s new Supporter Liaison Officer team.

“Away from football, I’ve worked in local government for over 10 years across a number of different roles, which has given me plenty of experience working with and helping people from all walks of life. I’d describe myself as friendly, approachable and always happy to have a chat.

“As an SLO, I’m really looking forward to meeting more supporters, listening to their views and helping strengthen the relationship between the fans and the club. Most importantly, I want to help make matchdays as welcoming and enjoyable as possible for everyone”

Gary Murray

“A lifelong Falkirk supporter since the late 80s. A real love for the club, our town and fellow Falkirk Bairns. The club have been responsible for every emotion in the past 30 odd years from Brockville to the Bairnabeu. The highs and lows which we have all been through together.

“I am delighted to be part of the SLO team working with the club to be the bridge between the club and fellow Bairns. I will provide a means of communication between the club, fellow fans, and authorities. I will be available for engagement with supporter groups and individuals on a regular basis to improve the matchday experience and bring new ideas to the club. To build trust and engage with fellow fans and families to grow the Falkirk family.”
