Falkirk Football Club is proud to announce a landmark partnership with GAC UK, who will become the club’s Official Academy Training and Development Partner. This partnership goes beyond visibility, focusing on nurturing talent and creating opportunities for the next generation. GAC UK joins our Primary Academy Sponsor, Street Lighting Supplies, in supporting the development of young players in the Falkirk area – both on and off the pitch. As part of the agreement, GAC’s branding will feature on the back of shirt and on the shorts of all Academy match wear, across more than 500 kits from U10 to U19.
As Lead Partner, GAC UK is proud to support a range of initiatives that contribute to the holistic development of Academy players:
Delivered by the Club:
- Educational and welfare workshops covering key topics such as Laws of the Game, Anti-Doping, Integrity, and Anti-Racism.
- Coach education and CPD, ensuring every Academy coach benefits from at least 15 hours of training each season.
Led by GAC UK:
- A dedicated Career Pathway Programme for U15–U19 players, providing exposure to rewarding careers within GAC and helping prepare players for life beyond football.
Nicholas Browne, Managing Director of GAC UK, said:
“This partnership is about creating opportunities for the Falkirk Academy players to grow and learn, supporting their personal development alongside their football training. We’re excited to connect our business with the local community in a way that inspires ambition and opens doors to new careers.”
Jamie Swinney, Chief Executive of Falkirk FC, said:
“The Academy sits at the heart of Falkirk FC’s future, and this partnership ensures our young players receive support that extends far beyond the game itself. Working with GAC gives our players access to new skills, career pathways and opportunities that will benefit them for life, while strengthening the Club’s ties with one of the region’s leading employers.”
Tony Begg, Head of Academy at Falkirk FC, added:
“Our job is to develop players as people as well as footballers. Partnering with GAC gives us the tools to deliver workshops and career experiences that broaden horizons. It sends a message to every young player that the Club and our partners are invested in their whole future.”
GAC UK has developed a strong presence in Falkirk and the surrounding area since 2008, further cemented by the relocation of its head office to Grangemouth in 2014. This partnership reflects that long-standing commitment by actively engaging with local talent and supporting their future aspirations.
