The club is pleased to update on a number of infrastructure improvements in and around the ground.Floodlights
Fans may remember last season we upgraded the lights on the main stand to LED. We are currently upgrading the two towers to LED which will improve the quality and consistency of the lighting, whilst also helping the club to become more energy efficient. The new lighting will also achieve 800 Lux which is the standard required for the Scottish Premiership. The full installation will be completed later this month. These floodlights will also be equipped with a software which allows for light shows; however, this will not be fully operational until later in the year.
This upgrade has been achieved thanks to an interest-free energy loan and a grant from Falkirk Council, thus ensuring there is no impact on the football budget or operation budget. A huge thanks to Halliday Lighting for their support.
Kevin McAllister Stand fence
Works are currently on-going to replace the fence in front of the KM Stand. The previous fence was in a state of disrepair and was unsafe. The works will be complete by the end of the week thanks to club partners Arbuckle Contractors. Thank you also to those supporters who helped remove the old fence on Sunday.
Pie Sports
Our new catering partner Pie Sports has invested a considerable amount of money into the clubs’ kiosks. This work has included investment into new equipment, upgrades and improvements to the layout, enhancements with regards to branding and service areas as well as painting, cleaning and servicing of equipment. The total investment is in excess of £120k over the 5 years of the contract with the aim of improving the customer service and matchday experience. Thank you to the team at Pie Sports for backing the club.
North Stand car park
Following on from feedback received throughout last season, the club worked with Balfour Beatty to fill in the potholes and to level the surface at the north stand car park. We are grateful to Balfour Beatty for their support with this and hope this has also improved the matchday experience for those who use the car park.
Seating Deck
Finally, the club has invested over £5000 in the seating deck, purchasing new legs, bases and rings for the seats. Unfortunately, as the stadium ages the number of seats which require to be replaced increases year on year. Thanks to Service Metals for their help with this.
We hope the investment noted above ensures The Falkirk Stadium will continue to be a fantastic place to watch football. As always, thank you to our supporters for continuing to invest in the club to ensure we can progress together towards our ambition.
