Falkirk Football Club is delighted to announce that Jack McMillan will join the club upon the expiry of his current contract, subject to international clearance and Scottish FA approval.
The 28-year-old right back signs on a two-year deal for The Bairns ahead of the 2026/27 season, following two years at English League One side Exeter City.
Jack climbed the academy ranks at Motherwell and was awarded his senior debut during the 2016/17 campaign. The defender went on to sign for Livingston on loan in 2017 before making the move permanent the following season.
He made over 80 appearances in West Lothian before switching to Partick Thistle where he would become a key player, playing over 100 times and contributing to 25 goals. Jack then signed for Exeter in 2024 and went on to make over 90 appearances while proving himself to be an incredibly versatile option throughout defence and midfield.
A Bathgate native from a Falkirk supporting background, the right back becomes John McGlynn’s second summer signing and adds further Premiership experience to the squad going into the new season.
Assistant Manager Paul Smith said:
“Jack is a player we have been talking to for the last month, so we are delighted that he has agreed to sign for us. We tried to sign him two years ago when he was leaving Partick Thistle, but he went down south to play for Exeter City where over the last two seasons he has played 95 games and probably played just about 90 minutes in every game.”
“Jack is a right back who can fill in all across the backline and played a lot of the time last season in the middle of the park, so he covers a lot of positions for us which is great to have. It’s great to have a player who can cover so many positions.”
“When he plays fullback, he is really attacking minded footballer who likes to get forward and possesses a great delivery, and he can certainly play through the middle of the park as he is great with the ball at his feet.”
Jack McMillan said on joining Falkirk:
“Coming from a family of Falkirk fans I am absolutely delighted to join the club and will do everything I can to help the team to continue building on the success they have had over the last few seasons under the manager and Paul.”
Welcome to Falkirk, Jack!
