Falkirk Football Club is delighted to announce that Keelan Adams has signed a one-year contract extension!After an impressive start to the 2024/25 campaign, Keelan Adams has put pen to paper on a deal that keeps him with The Bairns until June 2027.
The right back signed for Falkirk last season on a free transfer from Cumbernauld Colts, where he returned on loan for the remainder of the 2023/24 season.
With key players missing out through injury as we began our Premier Sports Cup campaign in July, Keelan was called upon to fill in, out of position, at centre back. The 22-year-old impressed everyone, putting in excellent performances as Falkirk topped their group. The defender has played every minute of The Bairns’ Championship campaign so far. Back in his natural position at right back, Keelan has provided three assists this season and scored one goal, which came in last Saturday’s 6-0 win against Greenock Morton.
Fitting in to the team seamlessly, the step up from Lowland League football to Championship football hasn’t fazed Keelan in the slightest as he continues to perform at a high level week in, week out.
John McGlynn commented on Keelan’s contract extension:
“Keelan came in and hit the ground running, he’s been absolutely different class, and this is his reward. Every Falkirk fan who’s watched any game will have witnessed how quick he is down that right-hand side. He’s assisted goals, and at the weekend he finally got a goal of his own. It’s great for him and I’m sure every Falkirk fan will be delighted that we’ve got this done. He’s one who can definitely go on and play at a higher level and I’m delighted that I’ll be working with him for a little bit longer.
“It’s another great move by the club on the back of Ross MacIver, Calvin Miller and Aidan Nesbitt also extending their contracts recently.”
