Falkirk Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Lewis Collison as our new First Team Sports Scientist and Lead Academy Sports Scientist.
Lewis joins the Bairns from Greenock Morton, where he held the position of Head of Sports Science.
With a strong background in both first team and academy environments, Lewis brings valuable experience that will further enhance our performance services across all levels.
Blair Doughty, Head of Performance Services, said:
“I am delighted to welcome Lewis to the club within the performance services department. The addition of Lewis will allow us to individualise our player physical development programmes delivering support to our players to better themselves physically as well as help with the academy transition from under-19. As well as this, he will oversee the Academy Sport Science provision at the club.
“Lewis comes in after a competitive recruitment process with many great candidates. He has a track record of working at first team level which will benefit us hugely as we move forward and look to create that best in class performance service as we look to compete and improve both on and off the field.”
Speaking about his new role, Lewis Collison said:
“I’m excited to be joining Falkirk at such an ambitious time for the club. There’s a clear vision for growth both on and off the pitch, and I’m looking forward to playing a part in developing the physical performance culture across the first team and academy. I can’t wait to get started and contribute to the club’s continued success.”
