Brian Graham secured another three points after two first half Calvin Miller goals saw Falkirk defeat Dundee United at Tannadice Park.
The win sees Falkirk remain in fifth place with 19 points, two points away from fourth place Rangers before a trip to Ibrox next Sunday.
Falkirk started off quickly and strongly, with Miller reaching the back of the net in the third minute. Brad Spencer stole the ball from the Tangerine attack, and drove through their defence before passing to Miller to finish the job. His initial attempt was blocked by Kucherenko, but the Ukrainian keeper could not hold out his second attempt.
The winger would score again 20 minutes into the match, after a corner kick saw a scramble for the ball in the box. Amidst the chaos, Miller’s corner kick added a second to the scoreline.
Dundee United were quick to respond three minutes later, but their goal was disallowed.
It could have been three for Falkirk going into half time after Kyrell Wilson sent a volley towards goal, but unfortunately for the Swansea loanee it flew just beyond the post.
The best chance for the hosts came in the form of Amar Fatah with a header that went onto the crossbar.
The hosts came out a lot better in the second half, but still struggled to pose much threat to the visiting side.
Just shy of the hour mark, a lengthy VAR check took place for a possible straight red card. Graham appeared to push down a Dundee United player, but after a long look at the monitor, the decision was yellow.
Graham redeemed himself five minutes later, sealing the win for the Bairns after some excellent team work from the Falkirk side.
John McGlynn made his first changes with 15 to go, bringing on Ryan Edwards to make his debut for the Bairns. In the same change, Filip Lissah was taken off for Henry Cartwright, and Dylan Tait was replaced by Alfredo Agyeman who made his 100th appearance for Falkirk.
It was also former Falkirk Bairn Craig Sibbald’s 500th career appearance. The Falkirk born midfielder had made over 250 appearances for Falkirk before moving away from the club in 2018.
After five minutes of additional time, the whistle blew and Falkirk emerged victorious at Tannadice Park for the first time in the league since 2007.
Falkirk will now prepare for a big trip to Ibrox on Sunday night (Nov 30.) in their next league match.
