The Navy Blue Train returns to The Falkirk Stadium as we take on Hamilton Academical in our last game before Christmas!

Kick-off is at 3pm, Saturday 21st December.This Saturday, The Bairns look to bounce back after suffering a third league defeat of the season last weekend.

Despite taking the lead within the opening two minutes at Somerset Park on Saturday, it wasn’t Falkirk’s day. After Ross MacIver slotted home Alfredo Agyeman’s cross to open the scoring, an extremely controversial refereeing decision saw Luke Graham receive a straight red for apparently handling the ball deliberately in the ninth minute. The decision changed the game, and Ayr were on top for the majority of the remaining 81 minutes. Despite the constant pressure, and losing an equaliser, Falkirk managed to take the lead again, this time it was provider turned goalscorer as Alfie Agyeman got on the end of Sean Mackie’s cross.

Four minutes later, the home side had the lead again after scoring twice in two minutes. Ayr went on to grab two more in the second half, with Alfie Bavidge scoring both to put the game out of sight.

It was Falkirk’s heaviest defeat of the season but we remain top of the league with a five point gap to Livingston, who play their game in hand against Airdrieonians this evening.

Our visitors this Saturday picked up their first win in four league games last weekend as they bounced back from three straight defeats with a win against Queen’s Park. It didn’t take long for accies to get going, with Steven Bradley opening the scoring after just three minutes. His goal was cancelled out by Zak Rudden’s penalty in the 16th minute, however, Bradley added to his tally in the 37th minute to retake the lead for his side and secure all three points.

Hamilton now sit sixth in the table, seven points behind fifth placed Queen’s Park.
