This Sunday The Bairns take a break from league duties as we host Raith Rovers in the fourth round of the Scottish Cup.
Kick-off is at 12pm, Sunday 19th January. This week we prepare to take on Raith Rovers for the first of two meetings in as many weeks.
Falkirk progressed to the fourth round of the Scottish Cup with a win against East Kilbride back at the start of December, with goals from Agyeman, Miller and Morrison on a freezing cold Monday night in East Kilbride.
It’s been a difficult few weeks for Falkirk in the William Hill Championship, having drawn the last two fixtures. A six-goal thriller last month at East End Park preceded a two week wait until last Saturday’s home fixture against Queen’s Park that ended a scoreless draw. We remain top of the table though, five points ahead of Ayr United and with a game in hand.
Since Raith’s 4-0 win away to Linlithgow Rose saw them through to the next round in the cup, the Fife side had a decent run of form that saw them win three out of four league games, losing only to Falkirk and winning three in a row. Their good run was put to a stop last weekend when they visited Somerset Park, where a George Oakley hat-trick sealed a decisive win.
Raith sit sixth in the league, and host us the following week at Stark’s Park.
