Next up for The Bairns is another home fixture as we go head-to-head with Montrose on Tuesday night.
Kick-off is at 7:45pm, Tuesday 19th February. The team prepare to face Montrose tomorrow evening in a rearranged cinch League 1 fixture.
It’s been a quick turnaround since Saturday’s match, but the Bairns go into tomorrow evening’s game following a massive win against title rivals Hamilton Academical that will have given the already confident squad a huge boost.
Falkirk remain undefeated in the league and aim to extend their lead at the top of the cinch League 1 table to 14 points with a win tomorrow.
Montrose are also heading to the Falkirk Stadium in good form, having won their last three league games. The Gable Endies are unbeaten in four and have turned their form around after a period of inconsistency. Last Saturday saw Montrose host Kelty Hearts who were three unbeaten heading into the fixture.
The hosts got off to a perfect start, scoring in the first minute of the game. They then doubled their lead 24 minutes later. This time, goalscorer Blair Lyons turned provider, setting up Andrew Steeves for the second. Kelty had to wait until the hour mark before they hit back when Craig Johnston managed to get the equaliser. Just four minutes later, Johnston struck again to level the scores. It was the home side who had the final say though, scoring twice more to kill the game off. Graham Webster scored his third goal in three games before striker Kane Hester put the game beyond doubt in the fifth minute of added time.
The win sees Montrose leapfrog Cove Rangers into the play-off spots. They now sit fourth with 36 points.
