Falkirk Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Robbie Thomson as Head of Goalkeeping!Robbie joins The Bairns from Raith Rovers, where he has been First Team Goalkeeper Coach for the past year following his retirement as a player.
The 32-year-old began his career at Celtic’s youth setup, before moving down south to feature for Rochdale in 2013/14. A return to Scotland followed the following season, with stints at Cowdenbeath, Queen of the South, Hamilton Academical and Falkirk, before making his final move to Raith Rovers.
Robbie played in the navy blue in the 2017/18 season, making 27 appearances for the club.
He now holds a UEFA A Goalkeeping License and is the owner, director, and methodology creator of Pro Performance Goalkeeping, a successful academy offering specialised goalkeeper coaching.
Robbie commented on joining the club:
“I’m delighted to be joining Falkirk as Head of Goalkeeping. I’m excited to work with the goalkeepers and to contribute alongside the staff and players to help the team win games.
“I’m very grateful for the opportunity and will work hard behind the scenes to help bring more success to this group of players.”
