Falkirk Football Club can confirm that Ryan Edwards has left the club following the expiry of his contract.
The experienced central defender joined at the start of November last year on a short term deal to fill in for an injury hit back-line.
Over the last few months, Ryan has appeared four times for The Bairns, featuring in wins against Dundee United and Kilmarnock, as well as a draw with Rangers.
John McGlynn said:
“Ryan has been different class for us, for myself, for the club. He came in at a time when Lewis Neilson was injured and felt that getting someone in with Ryan’s experience would be beneficial, and it was. Despite Connor Allan stepping up and making the position his own, Ryan was always available for us and helped us late in games to hang on to wins and draws.
“With Coll Donaldson back, and Lewis Neilson close to a return, we’re pretty well off inn the central defender position. The move has been good for Ryan too, who has now gotten his fitness levels up and is ready to go and play anywhere, and we wish him all the best.”
