Following the racist social media posts targeting a Livingston player during our William Hill Championship match last Friday, we can provide the following update. The individual who made the posts contacted the club and Livingston FC to offer an unreserved apology. Falkirk Football Club has since issued a stadium ban in line with our anti-racism policy. Jamie Swinney, Falkirk FC’s CEO, has apologised to both the player and Livingston FC on behalf of the club.
The situation remains a police matter, so the club is unable to comment any further.
Falkirk Football Club operates a zero-tolerance policy towards racism, whether it be in or around the stadium or online. We are committed to creating and maintaining an environment for all spectators, staff and players that is free from all forms of discrimination, including racial harassment, abuse and violence.
