The Bairns get back to league duty following a free weekend, due to last weekend’s Hibernian fixture being postponed.

We head into matchday three aiming for a first league win of the season, having earned a point on the opening day, and fallen to defeat against Livingston the following weekend.

The weekend before last saw us travel to Glasgow to play Celtic Park in the last 16 of the Premier Sports Cup. The reigning league champions progressed to the next round with a 4-1 win, with Keelan Adams scoring a beauty of a consolation goal late on.

Aberdeen are yet to register a goal or a point this season, and will be looking to earn their first point(s) on Sunday. They faced a tough start to the league season, losing by two goals to Hearts on matchday one, and losing by the same margin at home to Celtic the next week.

The Dons managed to secure their first competitive win of the season two weeks ago, making it through to the quarter-finals of the Premier Sports Cup with a three-nil win away to Greenock Morton. That performance was followed up five days later with an impressive comeback in the Europa League, coming back from two goals down to level the scores against FCSB in the first leg of their qualification play-off.
