UP NEXT: ST MIRREN (A)

Up next for The Bairns is a trip to Paisley as we take on St Mirren in William Hill Premiership action.

Kick-off is at 3pm, Saturday 10th January. The Bairns are in high spirits after a brilliant start to 2026, and will be looking to make it consecutive wins at the SMISA Stadium.

We began the second half of our season last Saturday when we hosted Aberdeen at The Falkirk Stadium. The two sides met on matchday three, with Falkirk taking all three points from Pittodrie. Aberdeen were without a win and on a bad run of form at the time but that form had since picked up ahead The Dons’ visit to FK2 for the reverse fixture.

Falkirk looked to bounce back after losing our final game of 2025 away to Dundee, and Saturday’s opening 45 showed our intent as we dominated the play. Despite the dominance, the scores were level at the break, and it took until the 58th minute for the deadlock to be broke. After Leon McCann was fouled by Dylan Lobban, Calvin Miller whipped the resulting free kick into the box and defender Filip Lissah powered a header into the ground and past Mitov in the Aberdeen goals.

A win saw us leapfrog Aberdeen, back into sixth place.

Our hosts sit 10th in the standings following a shaky first half of the season. Despite their league form, The Buddies found themselves winning the first silverware of the season, beating Celtic in the Premier Sports Cup final in December. Stephen Robinson’s side hasn’t won in three league games, however, and go into Saturday’s match on the back of two straight defeats.

They travelled to Motherwell last Saturday, with goals from Tawanda Maswanhise and Elliot Watt securing three points for the hosts.

Falkirk will be hoping to set the record straight after St Mirren took all three points from The Falkirk Stadium the last time the two sides met back in September.
